The galactic community is abuzz after the ISS Destiny, a Juggernaut, revealed she is expecting her first ship - and already knows the class!
Announcing the surprise news on her Twitter page, the ship’s sentient AI programming gushed: “I’m thrilled to announce that I’m expecting a Corvette in the next few days!”
Destiny shot to galactic recognition after her inauguration, when she smashed records for being the largest space-faring vessel ever created.
Speculation that the ship may be expectant reached fever point last week when snaps featured in Them Weekly showed the Juggernaut with an enlarged hull and modules consistent with an onboard shipyard.

Thousands have congratulated Destiny on social media. One user tweeted at the ship: “Omg! Just think how cute that Corvette is going to be! I bet it just looks like you.” Another joked: “Here’s hoping you’re not expecting any Titans soon…”
Others appeared less enamored however, with some criticizing the ship for not focusing on work. Another warned: “Ships making ships? This is the price we pay for tolerating xeno-compatibility.”
The Juggernaut has confirmed she will be taking time off planned patrol routes following the construction of her first Corvette, hinting that there may be many more baby ships to come!
